Mr. Sharma has been in the precious gemstone industry since 1993, directing the operations of the company from inception to its present integrated state.

He has converted a US$1000 idea into a company that is engaged in mining gemstones, cutting and polishing top quality jewels, manufacturing designer jewellery in gold and silver and exporting all across the world. After the success of the Lusaka Intercontinental shop he is looking into open several other outlets in Zambia, Europe and India.

Completed the Master of Business Administration postgraduate degree with a specialisation in finance and finalised with a dissertation entitled “Growth of SMEs, an Oxymoron?” which centred on the external opportunities extant to small and medium enterprises in third world countries like Zambia, for growth.

Pursued a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering.

Elected to the Board of the Institute of Directors (Zambia) & Chair of its Functions Committee

Elected as Tournament Secretary and also acting Honorary Secretary of the Lusaka Golf Club

Selected by the Ministry of Trade Commerce & Industry and the Mining Sector Diversification Programme (MSDP) to be part of the Zambian
President (H.E. Mr. Mwanawasa) led investment promotion mission to India

2002
Selected to be a member of the steering committee of the Federation of Small-Scale Miners.

1997
Selected by the Export Board of Zambia to be part of a 30 member team headed by the Vice-President of Zambia Hon. Brigadier General Godfrey Miyanda to represent the Gemstone sector among Zambian Businesses to Namibia to encourage trade and industry awareness.
